Becoming better each day

We as human beings are interesting creatures. Some of us think we are entitled to every thing, some think we are not worthy and some think nothing about at all.

I call us interesting, because most of us goes through the same cycle over and over again. I can’t blame them, as long as they enjoy the cycle i have no right to break it for them. Actually, i have no right to talk to anyone about their cycles as long as they don’t want me to.

But here is the thing, for some reason, we all want to become better over time. Better living, better income, better social status etc. I find this really interesting and entertaining, because i get to see how people change in order to gain power, status, money and stuff like that.

I can’t blame anyone, as i was one those individuals before. It just hurts me more when i realize how i was behaving and those memories keep coming back to life. At least i use it as a chance to forgive myself and let go of the past.

Power feels good, i know. Having money in your bank account feels really good too. But what do you loose to for your gains? Is it really worth it?

Now the topic is about becoming better each day. So how do you become better each day? First step is to realize it is time to change things, bit by bit, day by day. It is a process, a never ending process.

As we age, what we want from life starts to change, our reactions, our hopes and dreams are becoming more and more less money and more joy oriented. Back in our childhood it was not about competition or about ambitions. It was about having fun, spending time together with friends, doing mostly stupid things.

As we grow older, things start to change and we loose that innocent thoughts, we become competitors. There can be lots of reasons for this, but after a while some of us realize, the competition is tearing us apart. We become less social, less interacted. We let our ego speak for us, we create a second identity that has almost nothing to do with our wishes and desires. We see it as a temporary solution, because it protects us from outside world, in theory. But it starts to get best of us and turn us into miserable creatures instead.

So what can be done? Well, there are things that can be done, but first you have to be open to yourself about what you want. Are you currently happy with what you have? Do you really want to change things?

The first rule of change, is to have the will to change. The rest will follow.
